Melatonin is a hormone that is mainly produced by the brain in the pineal gland. The body produces it from serotonin, whereby the synthesis is inhibited by light. Only when it gets dark during the night does the melatonin concentration increase by a factor of up to twelve. This is true for young people; for older people, the concentration often only increases by a factor of up to three. The maximum is reached around 3 am, after which the concentration drops again. During the day, little melatonin circulates in the blood.

Ingredients: Melatonin, Passion flower (Passiflora incarnata) extract, Lemon balm (Melisa officinalis) extract, Water, thickener: xylitol (25%) and xanthan gum, passion flower extract, lemon balm extract, melatonin, natural flavor: black currant, preservative: potassium sorbate.
Recommended use: Take 1 spray daily just before going to bed. Spray directly into the mouth, under the tongue. Shake well before each use. The first time you use it, press the pump 3 times to let the liquid flow. Clean the spray head after each use. Use within 6 months of opening.
